The Best Fine-Tip Mechanical Pencils
Wandering the aisles of your local office supply store, you’re sure to find 0.7 mm and 0.5 mm mechanical pencils. But what if those aren’t what you need? Have you ever thought pencil manufacturers just aren’t thinking small enough? Fine-tip mechanical pencils that write with 0.3 mm and even 0.2 mm leads aren’t likely to turn up on shelves near you, but here at JetPens we... read more

LAMY Safari: A Comprehensive Guide
The LAMY Safari is a minimalist favorite in the world of writing instruments. Since its launch in the eighties, the LAMY Safari has expanded from fountain pens to include other writing instruments, like rollerballs, ballpoints, and mechanical pencils. LAMY didn’t stop there: a pen made of aluminum known as the AL-Star soon joined the family, followed by the Vista and Lx. In this guide, we’ll discuss... read more

REVIEW: ONOTO MAGNA SEQUOYAH FOUNTAIN PEN
Oh boy, have I been eyeing Onoto pens for a loooong time, before finally pulling the trigger on this Onoto Magna Sequoyah LE last year! I'm kicking myself for not getting one sooner because these pens are everything they're hyped up to be, and then some... Although 'hype' is perhaps not the right word to use with Onoto, because they actually seem quite underrepresented within our community. As with... read more

How The New M205 DUO Stacks Up To Its Predecessors
The M205 DUO was originally introduced in 2010 as part of the Classic line, taking the novel approach of combining a fountain pen with a highlighter. Now that we are at the tail end of the Omicron variant’s destructive toll, […] read more

what’s in my bag #25: my work backpack by sweaty betty
The majority of my work days, I carry this Sweaty Betty quilted backpack. It's pretty functional and quite well built and considering that it's on the pricier end for a backpack, I would hope so! I also really like the two pockets at the side. On rainy days, one side is useful for an umbrella and the other side usually has a folded up tote bag. Contents (top left, clockwise):... read more

Serious Nibbage Snippet Gourmet Pens Hot Pink Lemonade Fountain Pen with Pilot Parallel Calligraphy Nib
The Hot Pink Lemonade fountain pen - obviously one of my favourite pens, and one that has been inked non-stop since I first received the prototype many months ago! Actually, it's probably close to a year by now. It sports a Pilot Parallel section all of the time, and it's always being eyedroppered with this and that and the other. Most often, Gourmet Pens Pink!Visit the shop for the... read more

how I’m getting on with my bullet journal
Back in November 2020, I talked about three months' in a bullet journal. I've now been using a bullet journal for over a year (how time flies...?!) and I wouldn't say I'm a seasoned user but like to think I've worked out what does and doesn't work for me now. The structure is a standard one in terms of a journal - there's an information page, a year plan, a... read more
